We are not a cannabis retailer, dispensary, clinic, laboratory, law firm or advisory service, and we do not sell, supply or broker cannabis or any other controlled substance.
Subjects speak for themselves. Their views are their own. Nothing here is medical or legal advice.
Every portrait is built from what a subject said on the record. We publish their words as they said them. We remove filler and transcription errors; we do not change grammar, vocabulary or meaning.
It follows that a view expressed by a subject is that subject's view and not ours. Publishing a person is not endorsing them. We do not editorialise, we do not argue, and the presence of a claim in a portrait is not a statement by Cannabis Portrait that the claim is true.
Where a subject makes a factual claim that we could verify independently, we say so in the piece. Where we could not, we attribute it to them and leave it attributed.
Cannabis Portrait publishes interviews with scientists, clinicians, patients and others who discuss cannabis, cannabinoids and health. None of it is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and none of it is a substitute for consulting a qualified healthcare professional.
Do not start, stop or change any treatment on the basis of something you read or watch here. Cannabis and cannabinoid products interact with prescription medicines and are not appropriate for everyone.
Cannabis Portrait publishes interviews with lawyers, regulators and business operators who discuss cannabis law. None of it is legal advice. Cannabis law differs sharply between countries, and within countries between states and regions, and it changes often.
Nothing here should be relied on to determine what is lawful where you are. Consult a qualified lawyer in your own jurisdiction.
We publish globally. Cannabis is legal in some of the places we work, tolerated in others, and prohibited in others. Nothing in a portrait is an encouragement to break the law where you live.
Subjects sometimes describe activity that was unlawful at the time or in the place it happened, including their own past. We publish those accounts as documentary record, not as instruction or endorsement.
This publication is intended for adults. Cannabis is restricted to adults in every jurisdiction where it is lawful at all. If you are under the legal age for cannabis where you live, this material is not intended for you.
We check what we publish. When we get something wrong we correct it on the page and add a dated note saying what was wrong. We do not make corrections silently.
A subject who disputes how they have been characterised may respond, and we will publish their response with the piece. This does not extend to approving copy before publication.
